Cobleskill, N.Y. – SUNY Cobleskill Ag & Tech Director of Athletics
John Czarnecki announced Tuesday that
Ryan Gunzinger has been appointed Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities.
In his new role, Gunzinger will provide operational oversight and management for the department's athletic facilities. He will work closely with campus facilities staff and external partners to ensure Cobleskill's athletic spaces are prepared for practices, competitions and special events while helping coordinate necessary repairs, upgrades and long-term facility initiatives.
"Streamlining our facility management and operational coordination under this defined role ensures our athletic spaces and projects maintain the standards our program needs. Ryan is taking on focused oversight of our facilities and key department initiatives, giving us the clarity and accountability required to support our student-athletes and campus partners effectively," said Czarnecki.

Gunzinger has been a valued member of the SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department since 2006 and brings more than two decades of experience to his new role. Most recently, he served as the department's Facilities Manager and Technical Assistant, overseeing athletic facility operations, event preparation, game-day management and maintenance needs.
During his time with Fighting Tiger Athletics, Gunzinger has also served as an event manager, game administrator and head coach of the men's lacrosse program from 2007-19. His experience across facilities, operations and coaching has made him a valuable part of the department and provides a strong foundation for these expanded operational responsibilities.
Gunzinger is a Cobleskill-Richmondville High School graduate and earned his Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from West Virginia University in 2000.
