Penn Yan, NY – The SUNY Cobleskill men's golf team turned in a strong showing at the Keuka Fall Invitational on Thursday, finishing second overall at the par-72, 6,513-yard Lakeside Country Club.

Sophomore Anthony Zysk (Little Falls, NY) led the Fighting Tigers with a runner-up finish in the 38-player field. Zysk carded a 77 (+5), finishing just one stroke behind the individual champion and matching his lowest round of the season. He recorded nine pars and made a late push up the leaderboard with two birdies on the back nine.

Junior Bruno Groth was Cobleskill's next finisher, tying for ninth overall with an 85 (+13). Groth highlighted his round with an eagle on a par-5 on the back nine before closing with a birdie on the 18th hole. He also added four pars on the day. Senior James Longwell (Little Falls, NY) tied for 12th with an 87 (+15). Longwell carded five pars and added a birdie on a par-3 on the front nine to help give the Tigers another strong score toward the team total.

Junior Benjamin Casola (Oneonta, NY) rounded out Cobleskill's scoring lineup, tying for 19th with a 90 (+18). Casola finished with five pars and closed his round on a high note with a birdie on the 18th.

Cobleskill's balanced scoring, highlighted by Zysk's runner-up performance and three Tigers inside the top 12, helped secure the second-place team finish.
