Cody Wamsley

Cody Wamsley begins his first season as an assistant athletic trainer at Suny Cobleskill in 2023-24.

Wamsley arrives to Suny Cobleskill from Hartwick College, where he worked from 2021-2023.  At Hartwick College, he oversaw the rehabilitation and overall healthcare of all varsity student-athletes on campus.

Prior to working at Hartwick College, Wamsley received both of his degrees from Ithaca College.  In May of 2020 he earned a Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training.  Following his degree in Athletic Training he earned a Master's of Science in Exercise and Sport Sciences with a Concentration in Human Performance in August of 2021.

During his time at Ithaca College, he was a graduate assistant in the athletic training department in the 2020-21 academic year. With the Bombers, he oversaw the healthcare of student-athletes on gymnastics, swimming and diving, football, and crew teams.  Wamsley concurrently worked per diem at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, covering practices for their fall and winter sports teams.

Wamsley is licensed by New York State in athletic training and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.

In August of 2023, he received certification to be a Mental Health First Aid Responder.

When he is not in the athletic training room, Wamsley enjoys spending time with his dogs, hiking, camping, music, and anything involving sports. From nearby Davenport, he is excited to be a part of a staff that provides care to athletes in his local community.
