The SUNY Cobleskill Department of Sport & Exercise announced today that senior Tyrone Mitchell, Mount Vernon, N.Y., Mount Vernon High School/Sullivan Community College, a member of the men’s basketball team has been named the athletic program’s Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week.
The Fighting Tiger senior scored 19 points grabbed four rebounds and passed out two assists in the team’s 82-80 loss to North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) rival Penn State Abington in Abington, Pa. on Saturday afternoon.
For the season the Mount Vernon, N.Y. native is averaging: 11.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game while shooting 44.9% from the field and 74.2% from the free throw line. The
