The freshman forward was the women’s basketball team’s top performer during the week as the Fighting Tigers lost two-of-three North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) games. Westerfeld  averaged 15.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game for the Fighting Tigers who  lost at Morrisville State on Wednesday by a score of 60-54 before taking to the road on Saturday to defeat Penn College 55-43 then losing at home on Sunday to Keuka College 66-47 in league action. The Margaretville native posted a double/double in points and rebounds versus Penn with 14 points and 11 rebounds then notched a career high of 24 points versus Keuka.

On the year she is currently averaging 7.8 points, 5.6 rebounds per game in 16 contests while shooting 41.4% from the field for the Fighting Tigers who are currently 11-8 overall with a 5-6 record in NEAC action.
