Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that junior Mackenzie Wendelken, Kinderhook, N.Y., Ichabod Crane North High School, a member of the Fighting Tigers' softball program has been named the department's Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending March 19, 2023.

The Ichabod Crane alumnus posted an impressive effort at the 33^rd Annual Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic in Naples, Fla to open the season by going 12-for-24 for a .500 average on the week including two doubles, four walks, five runs scored and five RBI as the Fighting Tigers opened the year at 2-6 overall.

The Orange & Black are next scheduled to be in action on Saturday April 1 when they host the Bears of SUNY Potsdam at Fighting Tiger Park for a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 12:00 p.m.
