Cobleskill, NY – The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department has announced that sophomore guard Jaiyla Colon (Worcester, MA) and junior Cameron Rhode (Elmira, NY) have been named the Fighting Tiger Athletes of the Week for the period ending February 1, 2026.
Colon led the Tigers on both ends of the floor during a perfect 2–0 road North Atlantic Conference weekend, averaging 16.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. She shot 50 percent from three-point range and an impressive 91 percent from the free-throw line over the two victories. In Cobleskill’s win over VTSU-Johnson, Colon posted a career-high 18 points to go along with seven rebounds, four steals, three assists, and a block. She followed that performance with 15 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and a steal in the Tigers’ win over VTSU-Lyndon. For her efforts, Colon was named to the NAC Weekly Honor Roll.
Rhode turned in a career performance to lead the Tigers to a 97–86 road NAC victory at VTSU-Johnson, finishing with 23 points, 12 rebounds (six offensive, six defensive), five steals, four assists, and two blocks. He shot an efficient 7-of-12 from the field and a perfect 8-of-8 from the free-throw line while showcasing his all-around impact on both ends of the floor. Rhode followed that effort with 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals in the second game of the weekend. For the week, he averaged 17.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 3.5 steals, and 1.0 block per game while shooting 52 percent from the field. Rhode was also named to the NAC Weekly Honor Roll for his performances.
