Cobleskill, NY: The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department has selected first-year women’s indoor track and field athlete Anneliese Klein (Carlisle, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) as the Fighting Tiger Athlete of the Week for the period ending December 8, 2024.
In her collegiate debut at the Utica Holiday Classic, Klein made an impressive showing for the Fighting Tigers. She began her day by advancing to the finals in the 60-meter hurdles with a preliminary time of 9.83 seconds, before improving to fourth place in the finals with a time of 9.82 seconds. Klein also excelled in the long jump, finishing fourth with a mark of 5.08 meters (16-8).
The Fighting Tigers will return to action on January 17 at the Utica Winter Opener, hosted by Utica University.
