The Fighting Tiger pitcher/first baseman threw the team’s first no-hitter in five seasons on Wednesday when she defeated Morrisville State on Wednesday afternoon by a 13-0 margin striking out seven hitters and walking only one to post the victory.
Kranbuhl was also a factor at the plate during the week going 6-for-16 for a .375 batting average including: a double, a home run, three runs scored and six runs batted in for the week.
On the season to date, the freshman right hander has posted 4-4 overall record on the mound with four complete games and a shutout posting a 5.25 ERA having struck-out 35 and walking 21 hitters in 41 1/3 innings of work. Boonville, N.Y. native is also hitting .269 with an OBP of .384 in 26 games with five doubles, a triple, two home runs, 15 runs scored and 13 RBI for the season to date.
