The junior first baseman/outfielder went 9-for-12, .750, over the weekend as the Fighting Tigers took three-of-four games from the Trailblazers of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) in games played at the Baseball Heaven Complex in Yaphank, N.Y.Â
Among the lefty slugger’s nine hits were three home runs, two doubles, nine runs scored and eight runs batted in. Thomas also walked five times and stole a base over the weekend as Cobleskill improved their overall record to 6-2 the best start in program history since the team’s move to the four-year level of competition in 2008.
For the season the Scotia-Glenville High School alumnus is batting .600 going 15-for-25 at the plate to date including: five doubles, a triple, three home runs, 13 runs scored and nine RBI in eight appearances.
