GREGOIRE DIEHIOU NAMED SUNY COBLESKILL FIGHTING TIGER ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK
The SUNY Cobleskill Department of Sport & Exercise announced today that senior Gregoire Diedhiou, Manhattan, N.Y., Julia Richmond High School, a member of the men’s soccer team has been named the athletic program’s Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week.

A four-year starter, Diedhiou made his second consecutive All-North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) First Team in 2019 after being named the NEAC Defensive Player-of-the-Year Runner-up for the year after winning the award in 2018.

This year the Manhattan, N.Y. native started in 19 games scoring one goal and passing out twos assists on the season as a defender. In 72 career appearances, he has scored three goals and passed out two assists for eight career points.

During the season he lead the men's soccer team to their second consecutive conference playoff appearance, a bid to the 2019 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship Tournament and best record in program NCAA history  at 9-7-4 overall including a 7-2-2 league record. Over the course of 72 career appearances, he finishes his career with three goals and two assists for a total of eight points.
