Box Score Castleton, Vt.: Bitten by the injury bug the SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team was out battled by host Castleton State College in non-league action on Wednesday evening 3-0 by set scores of: 25-19, 25-22 and 25-21. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 10-12 overall on the season while the Spartans improve to 7-11 overall. With six players unavailable for the contest Cobleskill employed some unusual line-up combinations during the match but could not overcome the Spartans home court advantage.

Sarah Ruggles, Guilderland, N.Y., Guilderland High School, notched 26 assists to go with a pair of service aces. Junior outside hitter
Brandi Persico, Ravena, N.Y., Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, was also a factor in the match with eight digs and six assists for the visitors.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action over the weekend when they travel to Reading, Pa for the final North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Inter-Divisional Play weekend of the season hosted by Penn State Berks. Cobleskill will open the action on Friday October 18 when they meet the Wildcats of Penn College of Technology at 4:00 p.m. followed at 6:00 p.m. with a match versus the Lions of Bryn Athyn College. The Orange & Black will conclude the event on Saturday October 19 when they face the host Nittany Lions of Penn State Berks at 12:00 p.m. before taking on the Bison of Gallaudet University at 2:00 p.m.
