Reading, Pa.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team was swept at the final North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Crossover Weekend of the season hosted by Penn State Berks on Saturday October 19 and Sunday October 20. The Fighting Tigers were defeated in the opener on Friday by Penn College of Technology 3-0 by set scores of: 25-20, 25-8 and 25-9, then dropped a 3-0 decision to Bryn Athyn College by scores of: 25-21, 25-21 and 25-16. On Saturday Cobleskill lost to host Penn State Berks 3-0 by scores of: 25-14, 25-22 and 25-11 before closing out the weekend with a 3-0 loss to Gallaudet University by scores of: 25-9, 25-15 and 25-12 to fall to 10-16 overall including a 1-10 mark in NEAC action.

Junior middle hitter Melissa Spears, East Fishkill, N.Y., John Jay High School, averaged 1.9 kills per set over the weekend in 12 sets played for the Orange & Black.

The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Wednesday October 22 when they host the Hawks of Hartwick College in non-league action beginning at 7:00 p.m.
