The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team continued their winning ways on Saturday afternoon by traveling to Fort Edward, N.Y. to host the Badgers of Johnson State College in non-conference contest played at Fort Edward High School. The Fighting Tigers posted a 3-1 victory over their visitors from Vermont by set scores of 25-11, 19-25, 25-14 and 25-21 to move to 9-6 overall on the campaign while the Badgers now fall to 2-10 on the year.

Cobleskill junior middle hitter Melissa Spears, East Fishkill, N.Y., John Jay High School, was the dominate force in the match for the home team posting a season high of 15 kills on the afternoon to go with for total blocks while junior outside hitter Raven Worthing, Owego, N.Y., Tioga/SUNY Delhi, contributed six kills and 10 digs to the team's victory totals.  The Orange & Black also received strong play from the setter position where freshman Sarah Ruggles, Guilderland, N.Y. Guilderland High School, had 18 assists, four service aces and a pair of digs.

The Fighting Tigers will return to action on Wednesday November 1 when they host Green Mountain College in non-conference play beginning at 6:00 p.m.
