Volleyball Drops Three at NEAC Weekend Event

Fighing Tigers Road Struggles Continue in Washington D.C.


Washington, D. C.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team dropped three contests over the weekend at a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Inter-Regional/Divisional Play weekend hosted by the Bison of Gallaudet University. With the losses the Fighting Tigers fall to 5-20 overall on the campaign including a final NEAC record of 2-10 on the year.

Cobleskill opened the event on Friday evening by losing a 3-0 decision to the Morrisville State College Mustangs by scores of 25-13, 25-20 and 25-18. The Orange & Black then closed the weekend on Saturday opening the day by losing to the Wildcats of SUNY Polytechnic Institute 3-0 by scores of 25-15, 25-14 and 25-15 before falling to the host Bison of Gallaudet University 3-0 by scores of 25-6, 25-12 and 25-15.

Junior outside hitter Kasey Williams, Wallkill, N.Y., Wallkill High School/Dutchess Community College, turned in a solid effort for the New Yorkers averaging 1.3 kills and 2.0 digs per set over the weekend while junior libero Gabby Clark, Oneida, N.Y., Oneida High School, averaged 3.0 digs per set.

The Fighting Tigers will close their 2015 season on Tuesday October 27th when they travel to North Adams, Mass for a non-conference meeting with the Trailblazers of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) with first serve scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
