Morrisville, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team dropped their ninth consecutive contest on Wednesday evening losing to the host Mustangs of Morrisville State College by a 70-37 margin in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 2-17 overall on the year including a 1-13 record in conference play while the Mustangs move to 15-6 overall with an 11-3 mark in conference action.
Morrisville State scored the game's first 15 points before the Fighting Tigers scored their first basket with 14:00 minutes left in the half as the Mustangs took advantage of 17 Cobleskill first half turnovers to score 16 points on their way to a 38-13 advantage at the break.
Sophomore forward
Shelby Preston, Ravena, N.Y., Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, was  the Fighting Tigers only double digit figures in scoring with 12 points to go with nine rebounds on the evening.
Cobleskill will return to the court on Saturday February 14 when they host the Chargers of Lancaster Bible College for a NEAC contest beginning at 1:00 p.m. Â Â
