Cobleskill, N.Y: The SUNY Cobleskill men's soccer team suffered their second consecutive non-conference home loss of the young season falling to the visiting Fighting Saints of St. Joseph's College from Rutland, Vt. by a 4-2 margin. With the loss the Fighting Tigers drop to 0-2 on the year while St. Joseph's improves to 2-1 overall.
The Fighting Tigers got on the board first in the fifth minute of play when sophomore midfielder
David Vosatka, Schenevus, N.Y., Schenevus High School, ran under a long punt from freshman Tanner Pluff, Wallkill, N.Y., Wallkill High School, and scored the first goal in the newly renovated SUNY Cobleskill Soccer/Lax Complex.
However the Fighting Saints scored the next four goals to outdistance the Orange & Black leading 4-1 until the 86
th minute when freshman forward
Todd Briggs, Mayfield, N.Y., Mayfield High School, intercepted a pass and scored on a breakaway from 12-yards out.
Cobleskill will next take to the road on Saturday September 12
th when they travel to New York, N.Y. to face the Hawks of Hunter College beginning at 12:00 p.m.
