Reading, Pa.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team experienced a rough weekend of action losing three matches at a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Crossover Weekend hosted by the Nittany Lions of Penn State Berks. With the losses the Fighting Tigers fall to 6-19 overall on the season including a 1-9 record in league play.
On Saturday afternoon Cobleskill opened the weekend by losing to the host Nittany Lions of Penn State Berks 3-0 by set scores of 25-14, 25-11 and 25-15 followed by a 3-0 loss to the Chargers of Lancaster Bible College by set tallies of 25-18, 25-17 and 25-16. On Sunday the Orange & Black closed the weekend with a 3-0 loss to the Wildcats of Penn College by scores of 26-24, 25-17 and 25-18.
Sophomore setter
Mackenzie Holbert, Sauquoit, N.Y., New Hartford, N.Y./Herkimer Community College, was the team's top performer over the weekend averaging 3.6 assists, 3.3 digs and 1.7 kills per set in seven sets played.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Tuesday October 4
th when they travel to Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y. to face the Raptors of Bard College in non-conference play with first serve scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
