La Plume, Pa.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's soccer team closed their 2016 season with a hard fought 3-2 loss in heavy rains to North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) rival Wilson College in a game played at Keystone College on Sunday afternoon. With the loss the Fighting Tigers move to 8-8-2 overall on season with a 5-6-2 mark in conference play while Wilson closes the year at 6-9-2 with a 5-6-2 record in league play.
With heavy rain falling throughout the contest the Fighting Tigers received both their goals from freshman forward

Emile Vwaza, Manhattan, N.Y., Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis High School, initially in the sixth minute of play to give the Orange & Black a 1-0 lead then in the 57
th minute to tie the contest at 2-2.
With the contest tied at two in the 61
st minute the Phoenix scored the eventual game winner on a penalty kick off the foot of sophomore midfielder Ethan Russ, Honolulu, Hawaii, Radford High School, which provided the final margin of victory at 3-2.
Junior
John Schatz, Stephentown, N.Y., Berlin High School, took over goalie duties in the second half and record a career high of five saves for the Fighting Tigers.
Cobleskill will now await the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Tournament selection committee's decision on team selections and seedings to the association's 2016 Men's Soccer Championships which are expected sometime within the next week. Â
