Women's Basketball Fall 91-51 at Wells College in NEAC Action

The Express Too Fast For Fighting Tigers in 91-51 Conference Defeat

Aurora, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team opened their last road trip of the season by suffering their worst loss of the year dropping a 91-51 to the host Express of Wells College on Friday evening in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 9-15 overall on the campaign including a 7-10 mark in NEAC play while The Express Improves to 16-8 overall with a 12-5 conference record.

The Fighting Tiger offense proved to be colder than the temperature in western New York as the Orange & Black connected on only 16-of-64, 25.0%, from the field including 4-of-21, 19.0%, from beyond the three-point line while committing 25 turnovers on the evening.

Freshman Morgan Bullis, Bainbridge, N.Y., Bainbridge-Guilford High School, was one of the few bright spots in the contest for the visitors as she notched a double/double with 15 points and 12 rebounds to go with a pair of assists while junior guard Shiann Coons, Albany, N.Y., Bishop Maginn High School/Schenectady Community College, posted 14 points and three rebounds on the night.

Cobleskill will close their season on Saturday, February 20th, afternoon when they travel to Keuka Park, N.Y. to face the Wolfpack of Keuka College in NEAC action with tip-off scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
