Cazenovia, N.Y.: After ending a 31-game losing streak last weekend, the SUNY Cobleskill men's soccer team wasted little time in returning to the win column as the Fighting Tigers posted a 1-0 shutout road victory over Cazenovia College in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) season opener for both teams. On the strength of their the first conference victory in nearly two years Cobleskill improves to 2-1 overall including a 1-0 NEAC record while the Wildcats fall to 1-2 overall with a 0-1 record in conference action.
After a scoreless first half which saw the Fighting Tigers control the action for a large part of the stanza, Cobleskill tallied the eventual game-winner in the 52
nd minute when freshman defender Corey Rosenboom, Westford, N.Y., Schenevus High School, broke free and hit a laser straight on from 18-yards out to give Cobleskill a 1-0 lead from which they would never look back.

Paul Martini, Cornwall, N.Y., Cornwall High School, made both of his saves in the second half to post his first collegiate win and shutout as the Fighting Tiger defense repeatedly stymied the Wildcat offense throughout the contest.
The Fighting Tigers will return to action on Sunday afternoon, September 11
th, when they host the Mustangs of Morrisville State College in NEAC play at the Soccer/Lax Complex beginning at 2:00 p.m.
