Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team returned home on Tuesday evening to defeat the visiting Wildcats of Cazenovia College in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action. With the win the Fighting Tigers move to 9-7 overall including a 5-4 NEAC record while the loss Wildcats fall to 1-13 overall with a 0-8 conference record.
The Fighting Tigers used a balanced team effort to post the victory as freshman guard
Addy Lawson, Milford, N.Y., Milford High School, had a team high 21 points to go with three blocked shots and a pair of rebounds with senior forward
Shelby Preston, Ravena, N.Y., Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, posted a double/double with 15 points and 13 rebounds and senior guard/forward
Ashley Creighton, Niskayuna, N.Y., Catholic Central High School/Schenectady Community College, contributing 12 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals to the victory totals.
The Orange & Black will next host the College of Saint Elizabeth in NEAC action on Saturday January 28
th at the Iorio Gymnasium as part of a men's/women's doubleheader with tip-off of the women's game at 1:00 p.m. followed by the men's game at 3:00 p.m. Â
