Bryn Athyn, Pa.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's soccer team kept their North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play-off hopes alive on Saturday afternoon by registering a decisive 5-2 victory over the host Lions of Bryn Athyn College in league action. With the victory the Fighting Tigers improve to 5-8-2 overall on the season including a 3-3-1 mark in conference action while the Lions fall to 5-8 overall with a 2-6 record in NEAC play.
After falling behind 1-0 in the fifth minute of play the Fighting Tiger offense erupted for the next four goals as sophomore forward Khadim, Diba, Manhattan, N.Y., Julia Richmond High School, sophomore midfielder
Mame Amar, Manhattan, N.Y., Liberty High School, freshman midfielder
Ramel Anderson, Bronx, N.Y., Bronx Writing & Communication Arts High School, and freshman midfielder
Moussa Bamba, Bronx, N.Y., Fredrick Douglas Academy, scored in succession to give Cobleskill a 4-2 half time advantage.
Bamba scored a second half insurance goal in the 48
th minute to secure the win and finish the contest with two goals and an assist on the afternoon.
The Fighting Tigers will complete their weekend NEAC road trip on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Chambersburg, Pa. to face the Phoenix of Wilson College in league action with kick-off scheduled for 12:00 p.m. Â
