North Adams, Mass.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's soccer team once again found the road to be a rough place as the Fighting Tigers dropped a hard fought 2-0 to the host Trailblazers of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) in non-league action on Wednesday night. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 0-9 overall on the season while MCLA moves to 1-8 overall.

Sophomore goalkeeper Samantha Springstead, Staten Island, N.Y., Notre Dame Academy, spearheaded a Fighting Tiger defensive effort that employed a bend but don' t break tenacity throughout the evening. The Notre Dame Academy alumnus recorded a game high of 15 saves as the Orange & Black weathered a Trailblazer attack that posted 39 shots and eight corner kicks on the night.

Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday October 7^th when they host the Bison of Gallaudet University in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action beginning at 3:00 p.m.
