Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's soccer team dropped a hard fought 1-0 decision against the visiting Nittany Lions of Penn State Berks on Sunday at the Soccer/Lax Complex in North Eastern Athletic Conference action. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 3-8 overall including a 1-3 mark in league action while the Nittany Lions are now 6-5-1 with a 4-0-1 record versus NEAC opponents.

The game was a scoreless tie until the 63^rd minute of play when Nittany Lion freshman forward Brenden Valverde, Birdsboro, Pa., Daniel Boone High School, scored on a weakside header off of the foot of senior midfielder Jon Mercier, Gibsonia, Pa., Hampton High School, which decided the contest.  

The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Wednesday October 11^th when they travel to Albany, N.Y. for a non-conference meeting with the Gators of Sage College to be played at the Albany College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences Athletic Complex beginning at 7:00 p.m.
