Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's soccer team dropped a home decision to one of the top teams in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) as the NEAC South Division leading Nittany Lions of Penn State Berks blanked the host Fighting Tigers 9-0 on Sunday at the Soccer/Lax Complex in league action. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 0-11 overall including a 1-2 mark in league action while the Nittany Lions are now 6-4-1 with a 5-0 record in NEAC play.
The visitors peppered the Cobleskill defense to the tune of 86 shots and 12 corner kicks on the afternoon forcing sophomore goalkeeper
Samantha Springstead, Staten Island, N.Y., Notre Dame Academy, to make 34 saves on the afternoon.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Saturday October 14
th when they host The Express of Wells College in NEAC action with kick-off slated for 3:00 p.m.Â
