Fighting Tiger Women's Basketball Drops NEAC Home Opener to Morrisville State 67-62

Lawson and Miller-Pear Post Double/Doubles in Losing Effort For Cobleskill


 
Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball teams opened their North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) season on Wednesday evening by losing to the visiting Mustangs of Morrisville State College by a 67-62 margin. With the defeat the Fighting Tigers fall to 2-3 overall on the year with a 0-1 mark in NEAC action while the Mustangs move to 2-3 overall with a 1-0 conference mark.
 
Sophomore guard Addy Lawson, Cooperstown, N.Y., Milford High School, turned in an impressive showing in defeat for the Fighting Tigers posting a double/double with a game high 31 points to go with 13 rebounds, four steals and a pair of blocked shots while freshman forward DJ Miller-Peak, Utica, N.Y., Thomas R. Proctor High School, posted her first career double/double with 10 points and a career high of 16 rebounds and four assists in a reserve role. Freshman forward Ali Changa, Watervliet, N.Y., Watervliet High School, was also a factor off the bench for the Orange & Black with 13 points and seven rebounds on the night.
 
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action when they travel to Williamstown, Pa. on Saturday December 2nd to face the Wildcats of Penn College in NEAC action with tip-off at 3:00 p.m.
