Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team stepped out of North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action on Monday evening to post an impressive 68-51 non-league victory over the visiting Blue Angels of the College of New Rochelle at the Iorio Gymnasium. The win improves the Fighting Tigers overall record to 4-3 on the campaign while the Blue Angels are now 2-5 overall on the year.
Once again sophomore guard
Addy Lawson, Cooperstown, N.Y., Milford High School, keyed the Cobleskill attack with 16 points, six rebounds and two assists on the evening while sophomore guard
Shaliyah Graham, Bronx, N.Y., Martin Luther King High School, added five points, nine assists, nine rebounds and two steals to the team's victory totals.
The Fighting Tigers also received strong play off the bench from: freshman forward DJ Miller-Peak, Utica, N.Y., Thomas R. Proctor High School, with nine points, and five rebounds, from freshman forward Ali Changa, Watervliet, N.Y., Watervliet High School, with eight points and four rebounds and from freshman forward Alexia Massaroni, Worcester, N.Y., Worcester High School, with four points, two rebounds and an assist on the evening.
The Orange & Black will next be in action on Wednesday December 6
th when they travel to Cazenovia, N.Y. for a NEAC meeting with the Wildcats of Cazenovia College beginning at 8:00 p.m.
