Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's soccer team dropped their fifth straight contest on Sunday afternoon falling to Villa Maria College 2-0 in non-league action at the Soccer/Lacrosse Complex. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 0-5 overall on the year while the Vikings improve to 1-4 overall.

Fighting Tiger sophomore goalkeeper Samantha Springstead, Staten Island, N.Y., Notre Dame Academy, recorded 16 saves on the afternoon to keep the Orange & Black in the contest but the home squad could not capitalize on 16 shots and seven corner kicks versus the visitor's defense.

Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday September 23^rd when they open their 2017 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) campaign at home versus the Wolves of Keuka College with kick-off at 3:00 p.m.
