Chicopee, Mass.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team split a pair of games on Saturday afternoon at the Elms College Blazer Invitational losing to the host Blazers in the day's opener 3-0 by set scores of 25-15, 25-20 and 25-19 prior to defeating the Falcons of Albertus Magnus College 3-1 by scores of 17-25, 25-10, 25-14 and 25-21. With the split the Fighting Tigers move to 2-1 overall on the year.

In the opener versus the Blazers, Cobleskill sophomore outside hitter Emily Potter, Fort Plain, N.Y., Fort Plain High School, turned in a solid effort for the visitors with seven kills and 16 digs in the match while junior setter Mackenzie Holbert, Sauquoit, N.Y., New Hartford/Herkimer Community College,  nine kills to go with 13assists and nine digs.

In the win over the Falcons, Cobleskill flexed some muscle at the net as freshman middle hitter Karyn Knaul, Central Square, N.Y., Paul V. Moore High School, had 10 kills, seven service aces and seven digs with Emily Potter adding seven kills go with 22 digs and three service aces.

The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Monday September 4^th when they host Green Mountain College in non-league action at the Iorio Gymnasium beginning at 6:00 p.m.
