Aurora, N.Y.: Once again the SUNY Cobleskill men's basketball team could not overcome a slow start on the road as the Fighting Tigers lost a 78-62 decision to the host Express of Wells College on Saturday in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 4-12 overall on the year with a 1-8 record in conference contests while The Express improves to 5-12 overall with a 3-5 record in NEAC play.
The Fighting Tigers trail 33-30 with 1:40 to play in the first half when Wells closed the period on a 7-0 run that effectively determined the game's outcome. Cobleskill did cut the home team's advantage to 58-56 with 6:40 remaining to play before The Express went on a 20-to-4 run to close out the game.

Christian Cooper, Gilboa, N.Y., Gilboa-Conesville High School, had a double/double for the Orange & Black with 15 points and 14 rebounds on the afternoon with senior swingman
Joel Costello, Middleburgh, N.Y., Middleburgh High School/Onondaga Community College, adding 15 points and seven rebounds.
The Fighting Tigers will return to action on Wednesday January 24
th when they host the Broncos of SUNY Delhi in non-league action beginning at 7:00 p.m.
