Aurora, N.Y.: Once again the SUNY Cobleskill men's basketball team could not overcome a slow start on the road as the Fighting Tigers lost a 78-62 decision to the host Express of Wells College on Saturday in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 4-12 overall on the year with a 1-8 record in conference contests while The Express improves to 5-12 overall with a 3-5 record in NEAC play.
 
The Fighting Tigers trail 33-30 with 1:40 to play in the first half when Wells closed the period on a 7-0 run that effectively determined the game's outcome. Cobleskill did cut the home team's advantage to 58-56 with 6:40 remaining to play before The Express went on a 20-to-4 run to close out the game.
 
Senior center Christian Cooper, Gilboa, N.Y., Gilboa-Conesville High School, had a double/double for the Orange & Black with 15 points and 14 rebounds on the afternoon with senior swingman Joel Costello, Middleburgh, N.Y., Middleburgh High School/Onondaga Community College, adding 15 points and seven rebounds.
 
The Fighting Tigers will return to action on Wednesday January 24^th when they host the Broncos of SUNY Delhi in non-league action beginning at 7:00 p.m.
