Cobleskill, N.Y., The SUNY Cobleskill women's soccer team took to their home turf at the Soccer/Lax Complex on Saturday afternoon to drop a 6-1 decision to the visiting Chargers of Lancaster Bible College (LBC) in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action. With the defeat the Fighting Tigers fall to 4-8 overall including a 1-5 record versus NEAC opponents while the Chargers are now 4-5-1 overall with a 3-2-1 mark in conference action.

After the visiting Chargers scored the first five goals of the contest to seal the decision; Cobleskill's lone score came in the 79^th minute of play when junior midfielder Nellie Ramsden, Marcellus, N.Y., Marcellus High School, scored off a corner kick from freshman midfielder Rebecca Bruno, Middleburgh, N.Y., Middleburgh High School.

In the net, the Orange & Black received a 14-save effort from freshman goalie Korah Witherell, Portville, N.Y., Portville High School, in her first collegiate home start.  


The Fighting Tigers will return to the field on Sunday, October 7, when they host the Mustangs of Morrisville State for an NEAC game beginning at 12:00 p.m.
