Marcy, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team stepped back into North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action on Saturday afternoon splitting a pair of NEAC matches at a conference triangular event hosted by SUNY Polytechnic Institute. With the split Cobleskill moves to 11-10 overall on the season including a 2-5 mark in NEAC play.
The Fighting Tigers opened the event by losing a 3-0 decision to the Nittany Lions of Penn State Berks by scores of 25-12, 25-20 and 25-12 then closed the day's action with a 3-1 victory over the Wildcats of Penn College by set scores of: 20-250, 25-20, 25-15 and 25-14.
Once again the Cobleskill front line provided stellar production during the matches as sophomore middle hitter
Jillian Nitchman, Ballston Spa, N.Y., Ballston Spa High School, had 14 kills, eight total blocks and four of service aces in six sets played while senior outside hitter
Katerina Weingarten, Cobleskill, N.Y., Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, added 11 kills and three digs in five sets played.

Maleigha Ellithorpe, Cazenovia, N.Y., Cazenovia High School/Onondaga Community College, had 45 assists 15 digs and two kills in five sets with senior libero
Mikayla Catherman, Marietta, N.Y., Marcellus High School, posting 53 digs defensively along with five service aces in seven sets played for the Fighting Tigers.
The Orange & Black will return to action on Tuesday October 22
nd when they host the Broncos of SUNY Delhi for a non-league contest beginning at 7:00 p.m. The evening will also be senior night for the member of the Fighting Tigers graduating class.
