SUNY Cobleskill Women End Season With 68-61 Overtime Home Loss to Cazenovia Wildcats

Sprague and Westerfeld Record Double/Doubles in Loss to Cazenovia


Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team ended their regular season on Saturday by losing a hard fought 68-61 overtime decision to the visiting Wildcats of Cazenovia College North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play. With the loss the Fighting Tigers conclude the regular season with a 12-13 overall record including a 6-10 mark in conference action while the Wildcats blank to 9-15 overall with a 6-10 record in NEAC play.

In a game that featured four ties and eight lead changes the Wildcats dominated the overtime period outscoring the Fighting Tigers 9-2 to secure the victory.

Junior Addy Lawson, Milford, N.Y., Milford High School, led the Cobleskill attack with a team high 16 points to go with seven rebounds and three assists while junior center/forward Stacey Sprague, Grand Gorge, N.Y., Roxbury High School, posted a double/double with 15 points and 11 rebounds on the afternoon. Freshman forward Kristena Westerfeld, Margaretville, N.Y., Margaretville High School, was also a factor in the contest contributing a double/double with 10 points and 11 rebounds on the day.
