Albany, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's soccer team made the trip to Albany, N.Y. on Tuesday evening to drop a hard fought defensive struggle to the host Gators of Sage College by a 1-0 margin in a non-conference game played on the turf at the Albany College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences Athletic Complex. With the defeat the Fighting Tigers fall to 3-3-1 overall on the season to date while the Gators even their overall record at 3-3 on the year.
The Gators scored the game deciding goal in the ninth minute of play when Sage junior forward Griffin Goodemote, Broadalbin, N.Y., Broadalbin-Perth High School, scored in the box weakside on a cross from sophomore midfielder Giddel Alvarado, Newburgh, N.Y., Newburgh Free Academy, providing the 1-0 margin of victory for the home team.
On a night when offense was hard to come by, the Fighting Tigers held a 13-to-12 advantage in shots along with a six-to-four advantage in corner kicks but still could not come up with a way to find the back of the net.

Rashawn Best, Brooklyn, N.Y., Martin Luther King High School, recorded five saves on the evening for the visitors on the evening in a losing effort.
The Orange & Black will next be in action on Saturday September 21
st when they travel to Morrisville, N.Y. to face the Mustangs of Morrisville State with kick-off slated for 1:00 p.m.
