Albany, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's soccer team made the trip to Albany, N.Y. on Tuesday evening to drop a hard fought defensive struggle to the host Gators of Sage College by a 1-0 margin in a non-conference game played on the turf at the Albany College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences Athletic Complex. With the defeat the Fighting Tigers fall to 3-3-1 overall on the season to date while the Gators even their overall record at 3-3 on the year.

The Gators scored the game deciding goal in the ninth minute of play when Sage junior forward Griffin Goodemote, Broadalbin, N.Y., Broadalbin-Perth High School, scored in the box weakside on a cross from sophomore midfielder Giddel Alvarado, Newburgh, N.Y., Newburgh Free Academy, providing the 1-0 margin of victory for the home team.

On a night when offense was hard to come by, the Fighting Tigers held a 13-to-12 advantage in shots along with a six-to-four advantage in corner kicks but still could not come up with a way to find the back of the net.

Freshman goalie Rashawn Best, Brooklyn, N.Y., Martin Luther King High School, recorded five saves on the evening for the visitors on the evening in a losing effort.
The Orange & Black will next be in action on Saturday September 21^st when they travel to Morrisville, N.Y. to face the Mustangs of Morrisville State with kick-off slated for 1:00 p.m.
