Castleton, Vt.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball took to the road on Tuesday evening to post a hard fought 3-0 non-league victory over the Spartans of Castleton University by set scores of: 25-20, 25-18 and 25-19. With the win the Fighting Tigers even their overall record at 2-2 on the season while the Spartans now fall to 2-3 overall on the year.

Maleigha Ellithorpe, Cazenovia, N.Y., Cazenovia High School/Onondaga Community College, was exceptional running the visitor's offense in the hard hitting affair posting a match high of 29 assists to go with six digs and a pair of service aces on the night.
Upfront, Cobleskill made good use of Ellithorpe's passing skills as sophomore middle hitter Jillian Nitchman, Ballston Spa, N.Y., Ballston Spa High School, had 12 kills with only one attack error while senior right side hitter
Regan Hubner, Miller Place, N.Y., Rocky Point High School, notched nine kills to with three service aces. Senior outside hitter
Katerina Weingarten, Carlisle, N.Y., Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, was also active up front with eight kills to go along with three digs.

Mikayla Catherman, Marietta, N.Y., Marcellus High School, was the key for the Fighting Tiger in the win posting a match high of 14 digs. Throughout the match, Catherman continuously frustrated the Spartan offensive efforts in the contest.
Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday September 7
th when they travel to South Hadley, Mass. for a triangular meet hosted by the Lyons of Mount Holyoke College. The Orange & Black will face the Blue Jays of St. Joseph's College of Connecticut at 12:00 p.m. before facing the host Lyons at 2:00 p.m.  Â
