Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team opened the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) portion of their season on Wednesday evening by losing to the visiting Broncos of SUNY Delhi 3-1 by set scores of 25-21, 14-25. 17-25 and 17-25. With the loss the Fighting Tigers move to 4-9 overall on the season to date including a 0-1 record in NAC action while Delhi is now 10-3 overall on the year with a 1-0 record in league play.

Cobleskill once again received strong play from sophomore middle hitter Alexis Miranda, Nashua, N.H., Nashua High School, who posted a team high of 11 kills to go with a solo block and from sophomore libero Kelley Miller, Fort Mill, S.C., Fort Mill High School, who had 19 digs to go with three service aces and an assist on the evening.  

The Fighting Tigers will next be in action over the weekend when they host a pair of NAC matches taking on the Kangaroos of SUNY Canton on Saturday October 2 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Sunday October 3 conference home contest versus the Wildcats of Cazenovia College with first serve scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
