Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's basketball team returned to North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on Saturday afternoon losing to the visiting Broncos of SUNY Delhi 80-68 at the Iorio Gymnasium. With the loss the Fighting Tigers are now 2-14 overall including a 1-5 mark in NAC action while the Broncos move to 14-6 overall with a 6-1 record in league action.
The Fighting Tigers were led by the duo of senior forward
Juwan Malone, Brooklyn, N.Y., Brooklyn Collegiate High School/Fulton-Montgomery Community College, who posted a double/double with 20 points and 13 rebounds to go with four assists and a blocked shot and first-year swingman
Ja'Nyve Smith, Albany, N.Y., Bishop Maginn High School, who hit for a career high of 21 points along with four rebounds and three assists on the afternoon.
Cobleskill will next be in action on Wednesday February 2 when they travel to Lyndonville, Vt. to meet the Hornets of Northern Vermont University-Lyndon for a NAC contest with tip-off scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
