Johnson, Vt.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's soccer team broke into the win column on Sunday using a stellar defensive effort coupled with opportunistic offense to shut down the host Badgers of Northern Vermont University-Johnson 2-0 in a physical North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest. With the victory the Fighting Tigers are now 1-13-2 overall including a 1-7 record in league action while the Badgers fall to 2-8-2 overall and 1-6-1 in conference play.

The Orange & Black then extended their lead to 2-0 going into the half when sophomore forward
Ethan Klein, Waterford, N.Y., Shenendehowa High School, beat the Johnson keeper in the 35
th minute of action for his first goal of the season.

John Espinoza, Ossining, N.Y., Ossining High School, recorded eight saves and helped turn back five corner kicks to post a shutout victory in his first collegiate start in the net.
Cobleskill will return to action on Tuesday evening when they travel to Morrisville, N.Y. to meet the Mustangs of Morrisville State College for a non-conference game beginning at 7:00 p.m.
