Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's soccer team closed out their 2022 season on Saturday afternoon dropping a 3-0 decision to North Atlantic Conference (NAC) rival Cazenovia College in a league contest at the Soccer/Lacrosse Complex. With the loss the Fighting Tigers close the campaign with a 1-12-2 overall record including a 0-8-1 record in conference play while the Wildcats will advance to the league's championship tournament with a 6-8-1 overall record including a 5-4 conference record.
The Fighting Tigers battled the visitors evenly in the first half as the two squads battled to a 0-0 tie at the half as the Cobleskill defense turned by a number of Wildcat scoring opportunities.
However, in the second half Wildcat junior midfielder Jaylah Cossin, Silver Creek, N.Y., Silver Creek High School, scored a pair of goals while dishing out an assist as the visitors secured the victory by scoring three times between the 54
th and 60
th minutes of play.
Cobleskill first-year goalkeeper
Dory Gosselin, Whitehall, N.Y., Whitehall High School, turned in nine saves on the afternoon in net for the home team.
