Milton, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's cross country team posted a score of 46 points to place second overall in a field of 14 teams at the 2022 Mount Saint Mary's College Blue Knight Invitational hosted by the Mount Saint Mary's College at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome Cross Country Course on Saturday.
The Fighting Tigers were once again were led by junior
Nick Logan, Queensbury, N.Y., Queensbury High School, who placed third overall in the 88-runner field by completing the 8000-meter trek in a time of 27:17.7 followed by first-year runner
Jack Gemmett, Schenectady, N.Y., Schalmont High School, in fourth place with a time of 27:30.6.
The Cobleskill scoring was rounded out by the trio of senior
Tucker Skowyra, Hardwick, Mass. Quabbin Regional High School, who posted a time of 29:32.0 to finish in 11
th place overall, first-year
Jacob Rhinesmith, Sommerset, N.J., Nation Ford High School (S.C.), who placed 12
th overall in 29:46.7 and first-year
Nik Recore, Peru, N.Y., Peru High School, who finished in 16
th place in 29:59.6. Additionally, first-year
Vladamire Sheehan, Windsor, N.Y., Windsor High School, finished in 17
th place with a time of 30:14.2.
The Orange & Black will return to action on Saturday October 15 when they travel to Springfield, Mass. for the 2022 WNE Golden Bear Invitational hosted by Western New England University on the college's cross country course beginning at 10:30 a.m.
