Marcy, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team lost at the buzzer to the Kangaroos of SUNY Canton in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship Tournament Western Division Semifinal Round hosted by the SUNY Polytechnic Institute. With the defeat the Fighting Tigers close the season with a 13-12 overall record while the Kangaroos improve to 13-11 overall and will advance to the Western Division Championship Game versus the host Wildcats of the SUNY Polytechnic Institute on Saturday afternoon.

Trailing 52-51 with time winding down Fighting Tiger senior guard TyLysa Martinez, Coram, N.Y., Longwood High School, was fouled on a put-back attempt with 1.7 seconds remaining in regulation. The Cobleskill senior converted both free throws to give the Orange & Black the lead at 53-52.

After the Kangaroos took time-out and advance the ball into the frontcourt, on the ensuing out-of-bounds play senior forward Canton Shanelle Borth, Ellsworth, Wis., River Falls High School, connected on a heavily contested three-pointer at the buzzer to put the game in the win column and advance her team to the divisional championship game.
