Bangor, Maine: The SUNY Cobleskill men's basketball team saw their eight-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday afternoon as the Fighting Tigers closed out their weekend North Atlantic Conference (NAC) road trip with a 74-55 loss to the host Eagles of Husson University in league play. With the loss the Fighting Tigers drop to 12-3 overall on the season including a 4-1 record in league action while the Eagles improve to 5-8 overall with a 3-0 mark versus league opponents.
The Fighting Tigers got off to a slow start as Cobleskill shooters were as cold as the Maine weather as the visitors fell behind 42-18 at the half connecting on only 8-of-30 shots from the floor, 26.7%, including 0-8 from three-point range.
Senior forward
Justin Feldman, Chester, N.Y., Chester High School/Orange Community College, led the team in scoring with 11 points to go with six rebounds while junior center
Markel Jenkins, Elmira, N.Y., Elmira High School/Corning Community College, added eight points and nine rebounds on the day.
Cobleskill will next be in action on Friday January 13 when they return home to face the Beavers of the University of Maine-Farmington in NAC play beginning at 5:30 p.m.
