Bangor, Maine: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team closed their weekend North Atlantic Conference (NAC) road trip with a 75-61 loss to the host Eagles of Husson University on Saturday afternoon. With the loss the Fighting Tigers drop to 8-7 overall including a 4-1 record in NAC action while the Eagles move to 9-4 overall on the season with a 3-0 mark in league play.
The Eagles took control of the contest from the opening tip jumping out to a 22-10 first quarter advantage by limiting Cobleskill to only 3-of-13 from the field while forcing the visitors into six turnovers in the period. The Husson defense then secured the victory by limiting the Fighting Tigers to 22-of-59 from the field, 37.3%, including only 3-of-15, 20.0%, from three-point range on the afternoon.

Hannah Cater, Schoharie, N.Y., Schoharie High School, led the team in scoring with 13 points to go with seven rebounds while sophomore guard
Taylor Meacham, Berne, N.Y., Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School, hit for 10 points grabbed three rebounds and passed out three assists. Senior center
Jordan Finch, East Meredith, N.Y., South Kortright High School, had 10 points and three rebounds on the afternoon and first-year forward/center
Emily Satterday, Latham, N.Y., Shaker High School, scored eight points along with a team high 10 rebounds.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Friday January 13 when they return home to face the Beavers of the University of Maine-Farmington in NAC action beginning at 3:30 p.m.
