Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's soccer team closed out their home and North Atlantic Conference (NAC) conference schedules on Saturday afternoon dropping a 1-0 decision to conference rival SUNY Canton at the Soccer/Lacrosse Complex. With the loss the Fighting Tigers are now 4-9-2 overall on the year with a 2-6 record in league action while the Kangaroos move to 5-7-4 overall including a 3-2-3 mark against league opponents.
The Kangaroos scored the contests only goal in the 25
th minute of play when junior midfielder Dylan Vanderpool, Caldwell, ID, Vallivue High School, scored unassisted on a breakaway to give the visitors the lead for good.
The Fighting Tigers and Kangaroos then battled the rest of the way with each team failing to capitalize on offensive opportunities because of strong defensive efforts.

James Longwell, Little Falls, N.Y., Little Falls High School, and
Joe Wille, Gilboa, N.Y., Gilboa-Conesville High School, combine for seven saves, Longwell with five and Wille with two, while stopping seven Kangaroo corner kicks on the day.
Cobleskill will close the 2023 season on Tuesday October 24 when they travel to Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y. for a non-league meeting with the Raptors of Bard College with kick-off at 7:00 p.m.
