Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's soccer team returned home on Wednesday afternoon to drop a 3-0 non-league decision to the visiting Spartans of Vermont State University-Johnson (VTSUJ). With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 0-8-1 overall on the season while the Spartans move to 2-9 overall on the campaign.
The Spartans used scored early in the seventh minute of play when junior forward Rylee Pepin, Windham, Maine, scored of a deflection to give the visitors a 1-0 lead from which they never looked back as the Castleton offense posted 41 shots and nine corner kicks on the afternoon.

Cobleskill will next return to action over the weekend when they step back into North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play traveling to Farmington, Maine on Saturday October 7 for a league meeting with the host Beavers of the University of Maine-Farmington with kick-off at 12:00 p.m. followed by a NAC match-up on Sunday October 8 with the Hornets of Vermont State University-Lyndon beginning at 12:00 p.m.
