Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team opened their North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Western Division season in dramatic fashion on Wednesday evening staging an impressive come-from-behind victory over the visiting Broncos of SUNY Delhi 3-2 by set scores of 17-25, 25-23, 19-25, 25-19 and 15-13. With the victory the Fighting Tigers improve to 5-9 overall including a 1-0 record in league action while the Broncos fall to 2-10 overall with a 0-1 record to open league play.
With the match tied at two sets a piece, the Fighting Tigers trailed 13-8 when they broke Delhi's serve after a time-out giving the service opportunity to first-year outside hitter

The Cobleskill rookie promptly served up six consecutive points as the Fighting Tigers forced the Broncos into five attack errors with Hinze closing out the contest with a service ace to give the home team the season opening league victory.

Alexis Miranda, Nashua, N.H., Nashua North High School, keyed the comeback win with 17 kills, 16 digs and a solo block while first-year opposite side hitter
Kathleen Smart, Nashville, Tenn., Pope John Paul II Prep, who had nine kills, 24 digs and three service and two service aces.
The Fighting Tigers also received strong contributions from first-year setter
Baylee Kirschberg, Lindenhurst, N.Y., Lindenhurst High School, who had 31 assists, four digs and three kills and sophomore libero
Lydia McDonough, Wappinger Falls, N.Y., John Jay High School, who finished with 24 digs, three assists and a pair of service aces.
Cobleskill will return to action on Friday evening when they host the Coronals of Curry College for a non-league contest with first serve slated for 7:00 p.m.
