Quincy, Mass.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball ended their season on Saturday afternoon falling in the opening round of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Western Division Championship Tournament 3-0 to the Mustangs of Morrisville State College by set scores of 25-16, 26-24 and 25-15 in a match hosted by Eastern Nazarene College. With the loss the Fighting Tigers close the campaign with a 12-16 overall record.
The Fighting Tigers were led up front by the tandem of first-year outside hitter
Emma Hinze, Altenburg, Mo., Saxon Lutheran High School, who went for five kills and five digs and first-year opposite side hitter
Kathleen Smart, Nashville, Tenn., Pope John Paul II Prep, who had five kills and six digs.
Cobleskill also received solid efforts from the backrow as first-year setter
Baylee Kirschberg, Lindenhurst, N.Y., Lindenhurst High School, with 21 assists, seven digs and a solo block with sophomore libero
Lydia McDonough, Wappinger Falls, N.Y., John Jay High School, adding 15 digs and three service aces on the afternoon.
