Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's basketball concluded their regular season on Saturday by posting a 92-84 win over the Kangaroos of SUNY Canton in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Western Division action at the Iorio Gymnasium. With the victory the Fighting Tigers close the regular season at 17-8 including an 8-6 record in league action while the Kangaroos close the year at 6-18 overall with a 4-10 record versus league opponents. Cobleskill's 17-win total equals the most wins by the Fighting Tigers since the program's move to the NCAA level of competition in 2008.
The Fighting Tigers were posted a balanced scoring attack led by the duo of junior guard
Iziah Pigott, Brooklyn, N.Y., Urban Assembly High School/Dutchess Community College, who filled his stat line with 21 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals and from first-year swingman
Jeremy Rosario, Colonie, N.Y., Colonie High School, who scored a career high of 22 points to go with six rebounds and a blocked shot.
Cobleskill also received strong efforts from junior center
Markel Jenkins, Elmira, N.Y., Elmira High School/Corning Community College, who posted a double/double with 13 points, 13 rebounds and a pair of assists and from senior forward
Justin Feldman, Chester, N.Y., Chester High School/Orange Community College, with 10 points, eight assists and six rebounds.
The Orange & Black also received contributions off the bench in the win as first-year point guard
Quanire Greene, Albany, N.Y., Bishop Maginn High School, scored a career high of eight points to go with six rebounds with first-year sophomore
Trent Lomax, Harlem, N.Y., Percy Sutton High School, scoring seven points in a reserve role.
Cobleskill will now await the dates, seedings and venues of the 2023 NAC Play-offs which will be announced by the conference upon the completion of all league contests early next week
