Castine, Maine: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team dropped a 78-62 decision to the host Mariners of the Maine Maritime Academy (MMA) in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship game for the conference's automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship Tournament. With the defeat the Fighting Tigers are now 25-2 overall while the Mariners improve to 23-4 overall on the year.
Leading 48-44 going into the fourth quarter the Fighting Tigers suffered through an ice cold fourth quarter as the Mariners outscored the visitors by a 34-14 margin as the home team used a 20-to-1 advantage in transition points to secure the victory.

Logan Thayne, Hoosick Falls, N.Y., Hoosick Falls High School, led Cobleskill in scoring with 18 points and four rebounds, while sophomore center
Emily Satterday, Latham, N.Y., Shaker High School, added 12 points and six rebounds. Junior guard/forward
Antonia May, Amsterdam, N.Y., Amsterdam High School, was also turned in a solid effort with 11 points, six assists, five rebounds and a blocked shot.
The Fighting Tigers will now wait for to see if they are awarded an at-large bid to the 2024 NCAA Division III Championship Tournament which will be announced on Monday February 26 at 2:00 p.m.
